Welgegund Old Vine Cinsault 2021 & Old Vine Chenin Blanc 2022 are Released

Welgegund Heritage Wines has launched new vintages of two if its most acclaimed and sought after single varietal wines, our Old Vine Cinsault and our Old Vine Chenin Blanc.

The 2021 Old Vine Cinsault is a bright, clear wine with deep purple hues, notes of fennel, cedar, allspice, mulberry and bramble berry on the nose and a soft, luscious palate with ample structure and an array of dark fruit prominent. It is an extremely well-balanced wine, with silky tannins and a very long, clean finish. The distinctive bottle and wax seal remain the same and the label is slightly updated to reflect the classic and timeless nature of the both the farm and this wine.

The 2022 Chenin Blanc returns to our flagship packaging in our original bottle and with our original label, worthy of the elegance and sophistication of this fine white wine. Lightly wooded with captivating flavours of toasted oak, ruby grapefruit and lemon and layers of passion fruit, lime and elderflower on the nose, this wine pairs so well with most seafoods, with poultry, especially roast duck, and is superb with a cheese platter.
